Confluence Streambank Restoration Project Phase IThe City of Weiser had a potential problem with the drinking water treatment intake.
There was a sediment bar growing larger and larger, getting closer to the intake pipe located directly down stream in the Weiser River. There was fear that this sediment bar would completely plug the intake and threaten the city's drinking water. Weiser River Soil Conservation District partnered with the City of Weiser to secure permits to dredge the sediment bar and plant willows to stabilize the river bank in 2018. |
